Spicy Grilled Pork Chop Tacos

Ingredients

  • 4-6 ribeye pork chops
  • 2-3 tablespoons taco seasoning (or 1-2 taco seasoning packets)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Corn or flour tortillas
  • Toppings (such as shredded sharp cheddar, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, red onion, chopped cilantro, sour cream, etc.)

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the taco seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, seasoning salt, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Adjust the chili powder and cayenne pepper amounts based on your desired level of spiciness. Mix well.

  2. Rub the mixture all over the pork chops, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow the chops to marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight in the refrigerator for maximum flavor.

  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  4. Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking.

  5. Place the pork chops on the preheated grill and cook about 4-5 minutes per side until they reach an internal temperature of 145-160 degrees F and allow a 3-minute rest.

  6. Thinly slice the chops into strips.

  7. Warm up the tortillas either on the grill or in a separate pan.

  8. Assemble the tacos by placing a few slices of grilled pork chop on each tortilla. Add your desired toppings such as diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sliced avocado, chopped cilantro, and sour cream.

  9. Serve the spicy grilled pork chop tacos immediately.
