NOLA Bowl | Ground Pork

Ingredients

  • 1lb ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 green pepper, diced & chopped
  • ½ yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of parsley
  • 1 package of pre-cooked brown rice
  • ½ teaspoon of Kosher salt, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon EVOO

Ingredients

  • 1lb ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 green pepper, diced & chopped

  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of parsley
  • 1 package of pre-cooked brown rice
  • ½ teaspoon of Kosher salt, to taste
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon EVOO

Directions

  1. Add EVOO to a wide sauté skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add ground pork to the skillet and cook to an internal temperature of 160 degrees F with a 3-minute rest, season to taste with Cajun seasoning until almost fully done.

  3. Drain any excess grease.

  4. Add celery, peppers, onions, and garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  5. Add precooked brown rice and toss until well combined. Season to taste. Garnish with parsley.
