  • 1 cup carrots, julienne
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tbsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper

Directions

  1. Season pork chops liberally on both sides with the lemon pepper seasoning.

  2. To a hot skillet add olive oil and carefully place pork chops in. Cook for 3 minutes each on both sides. Remove and set aside.

  3. To the same skillet, mix in butter, onion and a dash of salt. Use a whisk to scrape the bits at the bottom of the pan, that’s the flavor!

  4. Once the onions are tender, stir in chicken broth, and cream cheese. Allow cream cheese to melt completely.

  5. Next, stir in heavy cream. Reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 8 minutes.

  6. Stir in lemon juice, black pepper and lemon zest.

  7. Add pork chops back to the skillet and cook on low for 5 minutes until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145 – 160 degrees F.

  8. Remove from heat, sprinkle fresh parsley on top.

  9. Bring ½ cup of water to a boil in a medium size pan (with a steamer basket if available).

  10. Add broccoli and carrots to the steamer basket. Cover and let it steam for approximately 7 minutes or until tender.

  11. rain water from the pot and add garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Plate the vegetables and the pork chops. Enjoy!
