A delicious taste of New Orleans flavor! This slow-cooked, savory pork sirloin roast is enough to make your mouth water just from the aroma – not to mention the taste!

Ingredients

  • 3.5 lb sirloin roast
  • 1 tablespoon of pepper
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 1 onion (slivered)
  • 5 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 4 cups chicken stock

Directions

  1. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. Add the oil to a skillet that’s on medium high and add pork. Sear on both sides for 5-7 minutes.

  3. Sauté onions and garlic with the pork until the onions start to brown.

  4. Place pork, onions and garlic into a Dutch oven or slow cooker and add the stock. (If using a slow cooker, you can cook it on high for 5 hours or on low for 8 hours.)

  5. Check that the internal temperature is 145-160 degrees F, then let rest for 3 minutes before shredding and serving.
