Ingredients

  • 5 Ribeye Pork Chops (1 1/4-inch thick)
  • 1 tsp. Creole seasoning
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp. honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ tsp. grated ginger
  • 3/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste for spice)

Directions

  1. Season the Ribeye Pork Chops on each side with Creole seasoning, smoked paprika and onion powder.

  2. Combine teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes for spicy teriyaki sauce in a bowl and whisk together to make marinade. Set aside a portion of the marinade for basting.

  3. Place pork chops in a flat pan or Ziplock bag and pour marinade over them. Coat thoroughly and set aside for an hour or as long as overnight in the refrigerator.

  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Brush and oil the cleaned grill grates. For charcoal grills, arrange the coals on one side of the grill to create a cooler zone away from direct flames. Once the grill reaches a temperature of 300 degrees F, remove the pork chops from the marinade and place them directly over the fire to cook. Discard marinade after removing the pork chops.

  5. After 3 minutes of grilling, baste the pork chops with a reserved portion of the marinade set aside specifically for basting. Then, flip the pork chops and repeat the process on the other side.

  6. Transfer pork chops to cooler side of the grill. Use the reserved marinade to baste both sides of the pork chops again. Let the pork chops sit on the grill for an additional 2 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 145-160 degrees F with a 3-minute rest. Serve with your choice of sides, such as grilled veggies and jasmine rice.
