Spicy Garlic Romaine Taco Wraps
No need to wait until Tuesday for your taco fix. Try these romaine lettuce wraps filled with cheese, tomatoes and perfectly seasoned, slightly spicy ground pork. Drop these on the fam and win taco night!
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 lb ground pork
- 2 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup tomatoes with chilis
- 1 cup vegetable stock
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 tomatoes, diced
- Sour cream and salsa, to serve
- 2 heads romaine lettuce

- 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin

- 1 cup tomatoes with chilis
- 1 cup vegetable stock
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 tomatoes, diced

Directions
Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in skillet.
Cook the onion and garlic until soft.
Add the ground pork and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Drain excess grease. Allow 3-minute rest.
Add all seasonings and 1 tbsp ginger plus flour, and stir until well blended. Then add the tomatoes with chilis and vegetable stock.
Cook until liquid cooks down, about 10 minutes.
Drain the excess liquid from the ground pork.
Place ground pork in lettuce leaves and serve with sour cream, tomatoes, cheese, and salsa.
